The Installation Process After Ordering HughesNet Satellite Internet
When you order HughesNet Satellite Internet the certified professional installation date will be set at a time that is convenient. The day of the installation the professional installer will bring all the necessary equipment to install satellite Internet in your home or business. The equipment will include items like the satellite Internet dish, RG-6 coaxial cable, a coaxial cable jack, a HughesNet modem and the items needed to ground the system.
The Installation Process:
- The installation will begin with mounting the HughesNet Satellite Internet dish; this will be in most cases on a one story roof, chimney or mounting pole where the proper alignment to the HughesNet satellite will be obtained.
- The installer will use standard satellite dish mounting brackets to attach the satellite dish to the structure or other dish location. He will also assure it meets the FCC regulations that stipulate satellite Internet dishes must be mounted at least five feet from ground level.
- The installer will use the standard equipment to properly ground the satellite Internet system and run coaxial cable to the coaxial cable jack. This cable can be run up to 100 feet in a standard installation.
- The installer will install the modem and verify there is a satellite Internet signal. This is when the installer will also begin the HughesNet Satellite Internet user account.
Items That Are Not Included In A Standard HughesNet Installation
- An installation where custom work is needed can be an additional cost and are things that will need to be discussed with the professional installer. This includes molding and other items that will hide the coaxial cable wire and the use of non-penetrating mounts when installing the dish.
- The satellite Internet dish that will require installation that is more than one story high is also not included in the standard HughesNet installation.
